ICC T20 World Cup 2022: England vs Afghanistan on Saturday

Qualifying automatically to the Super 12 stage of the ICC T20 World Cup on the basis of their superior T20I rankings, England and Afghanistan will lock horns with each other at the Optus Park in Perth on Saturday.
Both teams are clubbed in the first group which also consists of the likes of Australia and New Zealand.
Despite the World Cup officially commencing last week, Saturday will mark both teams’ first match of the tournament.
Part of the same Super 12 group, England and Afghanistan will go on to play four more matches each before the semi-final participants are confirmed.
Afghanistan has never made it past the second round of the tournament, whilst England will be aiming to win it all for the first time since 2010.
