IGP Kunwar Departs for Greece to Attend International Drug Enforcement Conference
Inspector General of Nepal Police, Basanta Bahadur Kunwar, departed for Greece today to participate in the 38th International Drug Enforcement Conference. The event, organized by the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration, is scheduled to take place in Athens from September 24 to 26, according to Nepal Police central spokesperson and Deputy Inspector General of Police, Dan Bahadur Karki.
Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), Dinesh Kumar Acharya, will also be attending the conference, which brings together global law enforcement officials to address drug enforcement strategies and international cooperation.
A farewell ceremony was held at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) where Additional Inspector Generals (AIGs), Deputy Inspector Generals (DIGs), and other senior police officials gathered to see off IGP Kunwar.
During Kunwar’s absence, AIG Tek Prasad Rai will assume responsibility for daily administrative duties at Nepal Police Headquarters.
