‘Ill-efforts being made to disgrace cooperatives’
CPN (UML) Chairperson and former Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli claimed that the cooperative sector has a spectacular role for the country’s development.
In his address to the fifth national cooperative meet of the Civil Service Cooperative Organization Limited, Chair Oli expressed sorrow over the ill-efforts to disgrace cooperative of late though the cooperative sector is inevitable for the development of the country like Nepal.
He called for all the concerned sides to remain alert to remove anomalies and aberrations surfaced in the sector and prevent unscrupulous efforts to keep the glory of the cooperative.
Chair Oli said ill-intended efforts are underway to spread rumour about the cooperative as an enterprise for forgery and profit-making job.
On a different note, he stressed the need to recruit qualified and competent person to the post of vice-chancellor of the Tribhuvan University. He further said there should be no political power sharing in appointing the VC.
