India’s Minister for Power, Housing and Urban Affairs, Manohar Lal Khattar, visited the sacred Muktinath Temple in Mustang on Tuesday morning, where he offered prayers alongside Nepal’s Minister for Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation, Deepak Khadka.

The ministers were accompanied by Indian Ambassador to Nepal, Naveen Srivastava, and a 16-member delegation. Their arrival in Mustang was welcomed by Chief District Officer Bishnu Prasad Bhusal, representatives of local government, and security officials.

At the temple, the delegation received traditional blessings, with temple priest Krishna Prasad Subedi offering tika and prasad to the visiting dignitaries.

The visit to Muktinath, one of the most revered pilgrimage sites for Hindus and Buddhists alike, followed a series of high-level engagements between the two countries aimed at deepening energy and infrastructure cooperation.
