International tourism Pioneer, Bajgain competing the election of HoR

Rajendra Bajgain, known internationally as a successful tourism businessman,  is contesting the House of Representatives election to be held on November 20 from Gorkha-1.

Bajgain of Nepali Congress is going to contest the election on behalf of the ruling alliance.

Along with Bajgain, there are 10 candidates including Ramsharan Basnet of UML for the House of Representatives election in Gorkha 1. However, the main competition seems to be between Bajgai and Basnet.

In the election of 2074, Bajgain from Nepali Congress lost to Basnet from the Gorkha-1 Provincial Assembly(B). At that time Basnet was the candidate of the UML and Maoists alliance. Bajgain , this time is at stake to take revenge of that loss by winning in the House of Representatives election .

Basnet, who won the state parliament in the last election, has also already become the minister of the Gandaki Province.

In the previous election, Basnet defeated Bajgai due to the alliance between CPN-Maoist and UML, but this time, Bajgain is likely to win as he is a candidate from the ruling coalition.
