International Vice Chancellor Meet to be held at KU
The Kathmandu University (KU) is hosting the International Vice Chancellor Meet here from tomorrow.
KU Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Bhola Thapa said the three-day conclave, one of its kind in the academic history of the country, aims to internationalize the country’s higher education and expand the University’s ties at the international level.
According to him, the North Zone Vice Chancellors’ Meet 2024 & Bharat-Nepal Higher Education Summit is organized by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) and KU’s management.
The university vice-chancellors of 150 countries, including Nepal, India, Bangladesh, Malaysia, Thailand, among others, will be attending the Meet.
Vice Chancellor Thapa said the conference will hold discussions on the global contemporary issues in higher education, internationalization of higher education, inter-university collaboration, world higher education policy, among other topics.
He added that so far 227 people have confirmed their participation in the Meet. Most of the delegates would be from India and there will also be representatives from universities from the South East Asia region, Europe and Africa.
