Israel Confirms Death of Hezbollah Leader Hassan Nasrallah in Airstrikes

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced on Saturday that Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah has been killed in an overnight airstrike targeting Hezbollah commanders in Beirut, Lebanon.

The IDF confirmed the strike also killed Ali Karaki, the commander of Hezbollah’s Southern Front. The announcement comes shortly after Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s firm speech at the UN, rejecting calls for a ceasefire.

The IDF attributed Nasrallah’s 32-year reign to numerous terrorist attacks and the deaths of many civilians and soldiers.
