It is extremely difficult to work here honestly: Finance Minister

Finance Minister Dr. Prakash Sharan Mahat has claimed that he worked honestly. He made this statement in response to allegations that unauthorized individuals were involved in altering tax rates during the budget preparation.

During a session of the House of Representatives, when asked about his stance, the Finance Minister expressed that working honestly in his position is extremely challenging. Despite his integrity, he faces constant scrutiny and questioning. Certain newspapers repeatedly circulate news, leading people to believe it as true. However, the reality is that he has diligently carried out his duties without any external influence.

He further emphasized that ever since assuming the role of Finance Minister, he has remained committed to working independently, free from any form of external influence.
