Jack Ma Makes Surprise Visit to Kathmandu
Jack Ma, the renowned co-founder of Alibaba and prominent business figure, has arrived in Kathmandu, Nepal today. He landed at Tribhuvan International Airport on a chartered flight of Hong Business Aviation accompanied by a team of seven individuals, including Chinese nationals, a Danish citizen, and an American.
Interestingly, Jack Ma chose to pass through the immigration desk as a commoner, foregoing the VIP section. He has also opted not to seek security from the Nepal Police and has acquired a 15-day tourist visa, as confirmed by a source at the Department of Immigration.
While the purpose of his visit remains undisclosed, sources reveal that Jack Ma is scheduled to meet with Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal during his stay in Nepal.
Jack Ma’s journey from an English teacher in Hangzhou, China, to the co-founder of one of the world’s largest e-commerce companies has been an inspiring one. He currently ranks fifth among China’s wealthiest individuals and holds the 63rd position globally in terms of net worth.
