Janamat Party Chair Dr. CK Raut Hints at Joining Prachanda-led Govt

Janamat Party Chairman Dr. CK Raut has indicated that his party is considering joining the government led by CPN-Maoist Center Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda.’ Talking to the reporters on Thursday, Dr. Raut mentioned that he has been unable to discuss the matter with the Prime Minister recently, but expressed the willingness of his party to join the government if the necessary conditions are met.

Dr. Raut stated, “Due to the Prime Minister’s visit to India and the budget, I haven’t had the opportunity to discuss participation in the government with him.” He further added, “However, if a conducive environment is created and the desired ministry is made available, there is a possibility of our party joining the government.”

Previously, when Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda expanded the cabinet on December 25, Abdul Khan of the Janamat Party was appointed as the Minister for Water Supply. However, Khan later resigned from the post, citing the party’s dissatisfaction with the ministry they received.

In recent developments, Prime Minister Dahal has shown interest in including the Janamat Party once again in the government. To achieve this, Prachanda is reportedly making arrangements to recall a minister from the Maoist center within the government, paving the way for the Janamat Party’s potential involvement.
