
Japanese Foreign Minister to Visit Nepal Next Week

Japan’s Foreign Minister, Yoko Kamikawa, is scheduled to visit Nepal next week, as part of her broader diplomatic tour aimed at strengthening ties between the Global South and G7 nations. The Japanese Foreign Ministry announced the visit on Saturday, outlining a busy itinerary that includes stops in Madagascar, Ivory Coast, Nigeria, France, Sri Lanka, and finally Nepal from April 26 to May 6.
During a recent press conference, Minister Kamikawa expressed her commitment to engaging in diplomacy that bridges diverse global regions and economic groups. “My mission is to foster deeper cooperation and understanding among countries in the Global South and align these efforts with like-minded nations in the Group of Seven,” she stated.
