Journalist Dilip Paudel Honored with ‘Active National Journalism Award 2081’
Journalist Dilip Paudel has been awarded the prestigious “Active National Journalism Award 2081” by the Press Council Nepal in recognition of his significant contributions to the field of journalism. The award was presented during the 55th anniversary celebration of the Press Council Nepal.
The award ceremony, held at the President’s house on Sunday, was attended by President Ram Chandra Paudel, Minister for Communications and Information Technology Prithvi Subba Gurung, and Press Council Nepal Chairman Bal Krishna Basnet. Paudel received a cash prize and a certificate in honor of his dedicated service to journalism.
Paudel, who serves as General Secretary of the Nepal Press Union and heads the economic bureau at Nagarik Daily, has been actively involved in journalism for over 15 years. Known for his expertise in economic, investigative, and corruption-related reporting, Paudel has earned numerous accolades throughout his career.
He has previously been honored with the Barbara Adams Investigative Journalism Award, the SEJON Award from the Society of Economic Journalists-Nepal (SEJON), and the Best Economic Journalism Award from the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI), among others. In recognition of his impactful contributions to journalism and national welfare, Paudel was also awarded the Janasewa Shree medal by the President.
The Press Council Nepal, a government body, monitors and evaluates media outlets to promote ethical and responsible journalism.
