Journalist Saroj Raj Adhikari found dead in a hotel room

Journalist Sarojraj Adhikari has been found dead in a hotel room in Sundhara of Kathmandu on Wednesday.

Journalist Adhikari had left home on Monday, November 7. His wife had filed a report with the police on Wednesday after he did not return home.

Superintendent of Police (SP) Dineshraj Mainali District Police Range Kathmandu said that the journalist Adhikari was found hanging from a ceiling fan of Siddharth Hotel in Sundhara, Kathmandu.

Adhikari worked for Kantipur daily, Nepal weekly, Naya Patrika daily, Nepal Live, and Sunaulo Nepal news portals during his career. He got highly popular for exposing the notorious Sudan scam of Nepal Police during his work for Kantipur.

Adhikari published two books–Chakravyuhama Chandrasurya and Jasusiko Jalo–about Nepal’s geopolitical and security issues.

He was also a fiction writer who published two literary works–Dhamboji Chok and Rupbajaarki Nora.
