Kailash Sirohiya Airlifted to Kathmandu for Medical Treatment

Kailash Sirohiya, Chairman of Kantipur Media Group (KMG), has been airlifted to Kathmandu for urgent medical treatment following a significant downturn in his health. Sirohiya was transferred via Simrik Air helicopter from Dhanusha to Mediciti Hospital in Lalitpur on Tuesday afternoon.

Sirohiya has been under police custody since May 21 and was initially transported by car from Kathmandu to Janakpur upon his arrest. His recent health complications necessitated an airlift, marking a departure from previous ground transportation.

Dhanusha police spokesperson DSP Ranjan Abha confirmed the airlift, stating, “Sirohiya was transferred to Mediciti Hospital due to worsening health conditions.”

For the past five days, Sirohiya has been receiving medical care. He was first admitted to Kavya Hospital in Janakpur on May 25 after experiencing health issues during his detention. He was then moved to Janakpur Provincial Hospital last Friday evening due to elevated blood pressure, irregular heart rate, and severe headaches.

Family sources have revealed that Sirohiya suffers from ongoing health challenges, including diabetes and hypertension, which have complicated his medical condition.
