Kailash Sirohiya’s Custody Extended by Three Days for Continued Investigation

The District Court of Dhanusha has extended the custody of Kailash Sirohiya, the Chairman of Kantipur Media Group, by three more days. This decision comes as part of ongoing investigations into allegations against Sirohiya.

The court, presided over by Judge Yaduraj Sharma, acceded to the request for an extension made by law enforcement authorities. This additional custody period aims to facilitate further investigation into the charges leveled against Sirohiya.

This extension follows previous grants of custody by benches led by Judge Romakant Gyawali and Judge Churaman Khadka, each allowing three-day periods for investigation.

Notably, Sirohiya had arrived at the District Court premises earlier in an ambulance provided by Kavya Hospital, underscoring the gravity of the situation.

The decision to prolong Sirohiya’s custody underscores the seriousness with which the authorities are approaching the investigation. It also underscores the importance of due process in addressing legal matters of public interest.
