Karan Chaudhary Elected Unopposed as NADA President

Karan Chaudhary has been elected unopposed as the President of the NADA (Nepal Automobiles Dealers Association) Automobiles Association of Nepal. Chaudhary, at the helm of Suzuki four-wheelers under CG Holdings, has not only secured a significant victory but has also become the youngest-ever president in the history of NADA.

Chaudhary’s election was marked by the strong support of key contenders for the CEO position, including Akash Gochha, Prakash Kapuri, and Navraj Dallakoti. The unopposed victory reflects a unified vision among aspirants for addressing the challenges currently faced by the automotive sector in Nepal.

Expressing his commitment to the industry, Chaudhary highlighted the collective effort needed to overcome challenges. As the Executive Director of Nepal Lube Oil Ltd, a prominent distributor and producer of golf lubricants, he brings a wealth of experience to his new role.

“The entire auto sector is currently facing challenges, and our first priority will be to address those challenges collectively. We aim to amplify the voice of all auto and auto-related businesses in Nepal, drawing attention from relevant authorities. I plan to address small issues on a larger scale,” stated Chaudhary.

The unopposed nature of the elections extended to the working committee, with all members, including Rajan Babu Shrestha, Surendra Kumar Upreti, Milan Babu Malla, Dipendra Kumar Mishra, Pankaj Agarwal, Kapil Siwakoti, Bikram Singhania, Navraj Bhusal, Akash Golcha, Nirakar Shrestha, Sunil Rijal, Pradipman Pradhan, Sanjay Kumar Khetan, Saurabh Thapa, Riddhi Karki, Yamuna Shrestha, and Prakash Kapuri, being elected as per NADA’s statute.

Additionally, members from the institutional side were also elected unopposed, including Sanjay Kumar Shrestha from Automobiles Dealers Association Morang, Tej Narayan Shah from Automobiles Association of Nepal Janaki, Kul Bahadur Chhetri from Automobiles Association Chitwan, Krishna Prasad Shrestha from Paschimanchal Automobiles Dealers Association, Ganesh Prasad Bhattarai from Lumbini Automobiles Association of Nepal, Bhadra Bhandari from Karnali Paschim Automobiles Dealers Association, and Pushkar Raj Ojha of Sudurpaschim Automobiles Dealers Association.

The new leadership is poised to work collaboratively to navigate the current challenges faced by the automotive industry and elevate the voices of stakeholders within Nepal’s auto and related businesses.
