Karnali corridor blocked

The Karnali Corridor has been blocked since Saturday.

The Corridor has been blocked due to a dry landslip in Lapha of Pachal Jharna Rural Municipality of Kalikot. Hundreds of local passengers and patients including locals of Bajura, Mugu, etc are stranded there. Transportation of food and essential goods in the area remains halted due to the blocked corridor.

Passenger vehicles and cargo vehicles used to ply from Lalighat in the Karnali Corridor to Salisalla in Humla, but now due to dry landslides, they have stopped.

There is a problem due to the lack of equipment to remove the huge landslide debris. Locals said that it will take a few more weeks to remove the debris.
