Kaski District Court Extends Rabi Lamichhane’s Detention for Further Investigation

The Kaski District Court has granted police an additional seven days to detain Rabi Lamichhane, president of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), who was arrested on charges of misappropriating cooperative savings. Suraj Adhikari, Information Officer at the District Court, informed that the decision was made by Judge Chandrakant Paudel’s bench.
Lamichhane, who was taken into custody on October 18, will remain in police custody as the investigation continues. Alongside Lamichhane, former Deputy Inspector General Chabilal Joshi, who was arrested in connection with the same case, has also had his detention extended for seven more days.
