Kathmandu Likely to Reach 33 Degrees Celsius Today
The weather across Nepal is currently experiencing partly to mostly cloudy conditions in hilly areas, including the Koshi and Sudurpaschim provinces, while the rest of the country remains mostly clear. This pattern is attributed to the combined effects of local winds, westerly winds, and a low-pressure system over Bihar, India, according to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology.
By this afternoon, it is expected that the hilly regions, including Koshi, will remain partly to mostly cloudy, whereas other parts of the country will continue to enjoy mostly clear skies. There is a possibility of light rain accompanied by thunder and lightning in some areas of the Koshi region.
Tonight, the weather is forecasted to be partly to mostly cloudy in the Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, with the rest of the country remaining clear. Light to moderate rain, along with thunder and lightning, is anticipated in some areas within the Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, and possibly in one or two locations within the hilly regions of the Lumbini province.
Over the next 24 hours, light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is expected in some parts of the Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, and in one or two places in the hilly regions of Lumbini province.
Meanwhile, temperatures in the Kathmandu Valley continue to rise. Today, the maximum temperature is expected to range between 31 and 33 degrees Celsius. On Tuesday, the temperature reached 28.5 degrees Celsius and increased to 33.3 degrees Celsius on Wednesday.
