The Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT) has taken disciplinary action following the tragic incident involving a Nepali student on February 16. The university has expressed deep regret over the incident and has initiated measures to address the concerns raised by students.

According to a follow-up statement issued by KIIT on Monday, two security staff members have been terminated, while two senior hostel officials and a senior administrative officer from the International Relations Office (IRO) have been suspended pending a thorough investigation.

To facilitate the return of Nepali students to campus, KIIT has set up a 24/7 control room at Campus 6, urging students to contact +91 8114380770 for assistance. University staff are actively encouraging students to resume classes and hostel stays.
