KMC Mandates Online Monthly Reporting for Health Facilities
The Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) has mandated all health facilities within its jurisdiction to submit monthly reports online. This requirement encompasses private and community hospitals as well as polyclinics across all 32 wards of the KMC.
Sajina Maharjan, the Officiating Departmental Chief of KMC, announced the initiative, stating that facilities will utilize the Integrated Health Management Information System (IHMIS) for reporting. KMC has begun issuing usernames and passwords for IHMIS access and plans to provide training to health facility staff on its utilization.
Maharjan highlighted the transition from the Health Management Information System (HMIS) to IHMIS, emphasizing its refinement and development. The implementation of IHMIS is expected to streamline health facility regulation and management within the metropolis.
KMC has intensified its monitoring efforts to further enhance the management of health institutions in the city.
