Korean Ambassador calls on Home Minister Lamichhane
The Ambassador of South Korea to Nepal, Park Tae-Young, engaged in a courtesy meeting with Nepal’s Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Rabi Lamichhane. The meeting, convened at the behest of the Home Minister’s Secretariat, served as a platform to extend greetings on the auspicious occasion of the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Nepal and South Korea.

Furthermore, the Ambassador underscored the importance of fostering direct foreign investment and extending aid from Korea to Nepal. He expressed gratitude to Minister Lamichhane for facilitating noble endeavors on behalf of Nepali workers and their families in South Korea, while expressing optimism for continued cooperation in various sectors including agriculture, industry, tourism, skill development, and technology transfer.
In response, Minister Lamichhane lauded South Korea’s exemplary policy of zero tolerance against corruption, suggesting it as a model to be emulated globally. Highlighting the enduring friendship between Nepal and South Korea, the Minister conveyed Nepal’s aspirations for enhanced collaboration across multiple domains. He stressed the imperative of reinforcing cooperation between the two nations to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.
