Koshi Province to Host Investment Conference This Year, Chief Minister Announces
Chief Minister Hikmat Kumar Karki of Koshi Province has announced plans to organize an investment conference within the province this year. The announcement was made during an interaction program with industrialists, traders, and the business community in Biratnagar on Thursday, marking 100 days since the formation of his government.
Chief Minister Karki expressed his commitment to attracting both domestic and foreign investors to Nepal. He highlighted that efforts would be made to encourage investment from neighboring countries as well.
During the interaction, Karki offered 650 bigha of land at Amduba in Barju Rural Municipality, Sunsari, for industrial development, contingent on the private sector’s readiness to establish industries in the area.
Additionally, the Chief Minister outlined plans to collaborate with the private sector to boost tourism in Koshi Province. Promotional events in two neighboring countries are being planned to attract more tourists to the region.
The upcoming investment conference and these initiatives reflect the provincial government’s focus on economic development and regional growth.
