KP Oli Congratulates Paras Khadka, Says “Cricket’s New Captain of Administration!”
Former Prime Minister and UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli has congratulated Paras Khadka on being elected as the Chairman of the Bagmati Pradesh Cricket Association.
Oli took to social media to acknowledge Khadka’s emphasis on enhancing cricket management and administration for the sport’s success.
“During our occasional conversations, Paras Khadka often emphasized the importance of enhancing the management and administrative aspects of the game of cricket for its success,” wrote KP Oli. “Today, I learned that he has been elected as the President of the Bagmati Pradesh Cricket Association. Previously, he was the captain on the cricket ground, and now he takes on the role of leading cricket administration. Congratulations, Captain Paras!”
In the election held on Friday, Paras Khadka emerged victorious as the CAN Chairman in Bagmati Pradesh, securing 23 votes, while his competitor, Umesh Piya, received only 14 votes.
Speaking to the media after his election, Khadka expressed his commitment to the development of cricket in all six provinces. He also mentioned that he had not yet considered the position of Central Chairman and would engage in discussions with officials from various provinces before making a decision regarding central leadership.
