Lawmaker Aryal Criticizes Government’s Policies as Inadequate to Meet Public Expectations

CPN (Maoist Centre) lawmaker Urmila Aryal on Tuesday criticized the government’s newly announced policies and programmes, stating that they fail to meet the aspirations of the public.
Speaking during a session of the National Assembly, Aryal expressed concern that several positive initiatives had been omitted from the policy document, which she said has discouraged the public rather than motivating them.
She urged the government to reinstate and prioritize projects of national importance, introduce a policy for the commercial cultivation of cannabis, and create opportunities for foreign employment returnees to engage in entrepreneurship. Additionally, she stressed the need to address the longstanding issues faced by landless populations.
Aryal underscored the importance of outlining a clear strategy for building a self-reliant economy and ensuring equitable economic development across all provinces.
