Leak of budget information to be investigated
Minister of Economic Affairs of Gandaki Province Jeet Prakash Aley has expressed his commitment to investigate the leakage of information about the budget.
Speaking at the Gandaki Provincial Assembly today, he expressed the commitment on behalf of the ministry to investigate the incident, after the main opposition party interrupted the meeting claiming that the budget information had been leaked before it was made public.
He also pledged that action will be taken against anyone found to have acted against the law in that regarding.
On a separate note, he said that supplementary special plan will be corrected if it is contrary to traditions and concerned procedures.
Earlier, chief whip of opposition party, CPN-UML, Govinda Nepali, had raised a point stating that the meeting could not proceed until there was a clear statement on behalf of the government over the incident of information related to annual development program put on social media by the cadres of the ruling coalition parties, 58 hours before ot was received by the members of the provincial assembly.
