Light Rain and Snowfall Forecast in Koshi Province’s Mountainous Regions

The Meteorological Forecasting Division has predicted light rain and snowfall in parts of the mountainous region of Koshi Province today. The weather will remain partly cloudy in the hilly and mountainous areas of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Sudurpaschim provinces.

According to the Division, the Tarai region is expected to experience mostly fair weather, while the mountainous regions of Koshi Province may see scattered snowfall and light rain at one or two locations later tonight.

Foggy conditions in the morning have already been reported in parts of the Tarai and the Kathmandu Valley, potentially disrupting daily life, tourism, mountaineering activities, and both road and air transport. The Division has urged the public to take necessary precautions to mitigate the impact of adverse weather.

This seasonal weather variation is typical in Nepal during winter, especially in the high-altitude areas, which often experience snowfall around this time of year.
