Light Snowfall Expected in High Hills and Mountainous Regions

The westerly and local winds are influencing weather conditions across the country, bringing partly to generally cloudy skies in the hilly regions, including Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces, while the rest of the country remains mostly clear.

According to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, the weather is expected to be partly to generally cloudy in the hilly regions and partly cloudy elsewhere. Light snowfall is likely in one or two places in the high hills and mountainous areas, while light rain accompanied by thunder and lightning is expected in some hilly areas of Koshi, Gandaki, and Karnali provinces.

Given these conditions, the Department has advised the public to take necessary precautions against possible weather-related impacts.
