LOD Club to Screen Environmental Awareness Messages Every Friday

The Lord of the Drinks (LOD) nightclub in Thamel has joined the ‘2 Hour Campaign for the Nation’ as part of its social responsibility.

Vice Chairman Raju Singh, Director Bhupen Shamsher Kunwar from Nepal’s most popular club, and Chairman Madhu Dhungel representing the campaign, signed the initiative to promote awareness and reduce environmental pollution.

An agreement has been reached to display an awareness jingle and message video on environmental pollution every Friday at the club. The club believes that this initiative will bolster the campaign, given the higher turnout on Fridays compared to other days. The video will highlight the impact of environmental pollution on animals and biodiversity on Earth.

Kunwar, the club’s director, emphasized the need for young and conscientious citizens to unite in preserving their environment. He pointed out that rapid urbanization, human-generated waste, and population growth contribute significantly to environmental pollution. Kunwar expressed confidence that this commitment would inspire the club to take greater responsibility for environmental stewardship and nation-building.

Highlighting climate change as a critical challenge, he stressed the importance of collective human efforts in maintaining a clean environment. Kunwar urged club patrons to actively contribute to environmental cleanliness, emphasizing that every individual plays a crucial role in nation-building.

“Pollution profoundly affects air, water, land, and food due to human activities,” Kunwar stated. “Every club visitor is encouraged to reflect on their environmental responsibilities.”

Similarly, Dhungel, the president of the campaign, stated that this initiative would aid in recognizing that every individual contributes equally to nation-building.

He expressed his conviction that agreements forged with this organization, regardless of their scale, would contribute to nation-building.

Dhungel emphasized the importance of maintaining a clean environment, noting, “Urbanization is escalating daily, ignoring the fact that our survival depends solely on the environment.”
