LSP Chair Thakur Expresses Concern Over Non-Implementation of Agreements
Chairman of the Loktantrik Samajbadi Party (LSP), Mahanth Thakur, has expressed concern over the non-implementation of agreements his party made with various governments.
Speaking at a program organized in Malangwa on Sunday to welcome new members and distribute party memberships, Thakur highlighted that numerous agreements were made during the Madhes movement, but these commitments were subsequently ignored by successive governments. “Representation based on population must be ensured,” he emphasized.
Thakur noted that the LSP remains committed to the constitution and laws of the country. “We participate in elections, but it is like waging a war. We’re waging a peaceful protest,” he stated, reminding attendees of the party’s ongoing struggles.
The event was organized by the LSP Nepal district working committee of Sarlahi. During his address, Thakur also called on the government to withdraw the cases filed against his party cadres and leaders.
