Madhav Nepal to Secure Unified Socialist Party Chairmanship Unopposed

Madhav Kumar Nepal is poised to reclaim the Chairmanship of the CPN (Unified Socialist) party without contest.

Formerly holding the position, Nepal will ascend unopposed after both Jhalanath Khanal and Ghanashyam Bhusal withdrew their candidacies.

Sources within the Unified Socialist party disclosed that Bhusal opted out of the race following an offer for the party’s third-highest rank. Meanwhile, Khanal affirmed his commitment to remain as the party’s Senior Leader, the second-highest position.

Bhusal, positioning himself for the role of Senior Vice Chairperson, is currently undergoing discussions regarding his future responsibilities within the party.
