Magnitude 4.7 Earthquake Jolts Sinuwa in Kaski District

A moderate earthquake measuring 4.7 on the local magnitude (ML) scale struck the Sinuwa area of Kaski district at 1:59 PM (local time) on Monday, 6th of Jestha 2082, according to the National Earthquake Monitoring and Research Centre (NEMRC) under the Department of Mines and Geology (DMG).

The seismic event was recorded with its epicenter located around Sinuwa, a remote area within the Annapurna region. Initial reports suggest the tremor was felt across parts of Gandaki Province, though no immediate reports of damage or casualties have been confirmed.

Authorities are continuing to monitor the situation. Residents have been urged to remain alert and follow safety protocols in the event of possible aftershocks.
