Major Breakthrough in Gold Smuggling Case: Chinese National Apprehended with Firearm

The Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) has apprehended a Chinese national in connection with a significant gold smuggling case. During the ongoing investigation’s second phase, officials recovered a 35mm Mauser pistol from the suspect.

The individual, identified as Raju Bhote ‘Tasi’ from Chengdu, China, was detained by CIB officials. The seizure of the firearm is a notable development in the investigation, which is focused on the smuggling of 60 kg of gold.

Raju Bhote and 17 others are currently under scrutiny as the CIB intensifies its efforts to dismantle the smuggling network.
