Maoist Center Gears Up to Launch ‘Special Transformation Campaign’

CPN-Maoist Center is on the brink of commencing its ambitious ‘Special Transformation Campaign’, starting from Ward-2 of Chandragiri Municipality in Kathmandu. The campaign’s objective is to establish a direct connection with citizens across all seven provinces through visits to 653 local units.

Scheduled to be inaugurated by Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal, who also chairs the party, the nationwide campaign is poised to launch on September 2. This extensive three-month-long initiative comes on the heels of the central committee meeting held in early August, during which the Maoist Center resolved to organize the campaign.

As part of the campaign, leaders of the Maoist Center, including chairman and province committee officials, will reach out to citizens in each ward, disseminating information about government activities and fostering public engagement.

Agni Prasad Sapkota, the Vice President and Spokesperson of the Maoist Center, confirmed that the party has completed the preliminary phase of preparatory meetings at the local unit level.

The transformation campaign’s launch will mark a significant step for the party, allowing citizens to directly interact with leaders and participate in shaping the country’s future. The Maoist Center has also announced plans to hold a statute convention once the transformation program concludes.
