Maoist Center Ousts Two Alternative Central Members

the ruling CPN-Maoist Center has announced disciplinary actions against two alternative central members following a standing committee meeting held last Saturday. The decision, as conveyed by spokesperson Agni Sapkota, involves the expulsion of alternative central members Biru Tamang (Sudeep) and Uma BK. They have also been removed from the party’s general membership.

The party has additionally sought clarifications from another alternative central member, Gorakh Bahadur KC, regarding his alleged involvement in the physical assault on a Chinese team during their visit to Jajarkot for the distribution of relief materials to earthquake-hit victims.

Sapkota clarified that the action against Biru Tamang was taken due to his undue involvement with the controversial medical entrepreneur Durga Prasai. Uma BK, on the other hand, faced expulsion for her decision to leave the party and join CPN-UML.

The CPN-Maoist Center emphasized that the expulsion decisions were based on thorough investigations into various allegations received by the party on different occasions. The move reflects the party’s commitment to maintaining discipline and integrity within its ranks.
