MCC CEO Alice Albright Meets Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli in New York
Alice Albright, CEO of the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC), paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli in New York during his visit to attend the 79th United Nations General Assembly.
During the meeting, the two leaders discussed matters of bilateral interest between Nepal and the United States, focusing on ongoing MCC projects in Nepal. Prime Minister Oli expressed optimism regarding the early completion of MCC-funded projects, which include high-quality transmission lines and highway developments. Following the meeting, he posted on his personal X account (formerly Twitter), stating, “We look forward to the early completion of the project for high-quality connectivity through transmission lines and highways.”
Chief Advisor to the Prime Minister Bishnu Prasad Rimal and Foreign Secretary Sewa Lamsal were also present during the discussion, highlighting the importance of these initiatives in strengthening Nepal-US cooperation.
