
Mercure Kathmandu Extends Financial Support to Cancer Care Nepal


Mercure Kathmandu, a five-star hotel located in Sukedhara, has extended financial support to Cancer Care Nepal, an organization dedicated to assisting underprivileged cancer patients in their treatment journey.
At a special event held on Monday, the hotel’s proprietor Deshbandhu Basnet handed over a cheque of Rs 500,000 to renowned actress Manisha Koirala, who serves as the honorary chairperson of Cancer Care Nepal. The contribution aims to aid the organization’s ongoing efforts to provide medical support to financially struggling cancer patients.
Expressing her gratitude, Koirala thanked Mercure Kathmandu for its meaningful contribution and emphasized the importance of such partnerships in strengthening the fight against cancer. She also voiced hope for continued collaboration between the hotel and Cancer Care Nepal in the future.
“Cancer Care Nepal is committed to helping those who cannot afford treatment, and this support from Mercure Kathmandu is a great encouragement,” Koirala said.
Hotel owner Basnet remarked that the hotel was proud to support a cause that touches many lives and affirmed his intention to continue working with the organization in the days ahead to reach more cancer patients in need.
Dr. Madan Kumar Piya, Chairperson of Cancer Care Nepal, highlighted the organization’s mission to provide free treatment to financially disadvantaged cancer patients, noting that such assistance plays a vital role in sustaining their services.
