Minister NP Saud Meets with US Senator Chris Van Hollen During Official Visit
Washington DC, Nov 2: On the third day of his official visit to the United States of America, Minister for Foreign Affairs NP Saud met with Senator Chris van Hollen on Wednesday. Senator Van Hollen, a member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee and Appropriations Subcommittee on State and Foreign Operations, engaged in discussions regarding various aspects of Nepal-US bilateral relations with the Minister. The importance of exchanging parliamentary experiences between the two nations was a key point of emphasis during the meeting, as reported by the Nepali Embassy in Washington DC.
Senator Van Hollen, known for his significant role in drafting legislation related to the Temporary Protected Status for the Nepali community in the US, visited Nepal last September. He is a respected and influential democratic leader representing Maryland in the US Senate.
The meeting was attended by Nepal’s Ambassador to the US, Shreedhar Khatri, and Deputy Chief of the Mission, Kumar Kharel, among others.
