Moldova’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Mihail Popsoi, paid a courtesy visit to Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli today at the latter’s official residence in Baluwatar.
The meeting focused on strengthening bilateral ties and exploring opportunities for collaboration in areas such as climate change, education, culture, and trade. Both leaders expressed a commitment to deepening mutual cooperation for shared benefits.
Prime Minister Oli took the opportunity to invite Deputy Prime Minister Popsoi to the upcoming Sagarmatha Sambaad, a multi-stakeholder dialogue on climate change, mountains, and the future of humanity. The event is scheduled to take place in Kathmandu from May 16 to 18.
Also present at the meeting were Prime Minister’s Chief Advisor Bishnu Prasad Rimal and Joint Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ganesh Prasad Dhakal.
The visit is seen as a step toward enhancing diplomatic relations between Nepal and Moldova, emphasizing collaboration in areas of mutual interest.
