Monsoon Conditions Bring Cloudy Skies and Scattered Rain Across Nepal
The weather in Nepal remains partly to mostly cloudy, particularly in the hilly areas, including the Koshi Province, with light rainfall currently occurring in a few locations. The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, Weather Forecast Division, reports that monsoon winds are influencing the country, with the monsoon low-pressure line positioned south of its usual location.
As the day progresses, the weather is expected to remain partly to mostly cloudy across the nation. There is a likelihood of light to moderate rain accompanied by thunder and lightning in several areas, particularly in the Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces. A few places in other provinces may also experience similar weather patterns.
The Weather Forecast Division has issued a warning of potential heavy rainfall in one or two places within the Koshi and Gandaki provinces. Additionally, there is a chance of light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning in parts of Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces, as well as in a few areas in other provinces.
The possibility of heavy rain in some areas, and very heavy rain in isolated spots within the Koshi and Bagmati provinces, has also been highlighted. Residents in these regions are advised to stay alert and take necessary precautions, as the monsoon continues to affect the country.
