Monsoon Effects Persist Across Nepal with Rainfall Expected in Several Provinces
The impact of the monsoon winds continues to be felt across Nepal, according to the Weather Forecasting Division. The Division reports that the low-pressure belt associated with the monsoon is currently positioned slightly north of its average location.
As a result, various parts of the country are experiencing different levels of rainfall. Light to moderate rain has been observed in parts of Madhes, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces. In addition, one or two locations in the remaining provinces are also experiencing light to moderate rainfall, accompanied by thunder and lightning.
The Division predicts a general change in weather conditions across the country by the afternoon. Heavy rainfall is expected in some areas of Gandaki and Lumbini provinces, with the possibility of significant rain in one or two locations in other provinces as well.
