Monsoon Influence Brings Widespread Rainfall Across the Country
The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has reported a significant influence of the monsoon wind across the country, with the low-pressure line of the monsoon settling around its normal position.
As a result, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces are experiencing generally to fully cloudy skies, while the rest of the country sees partly to generally cloudy conditions. Light to moderate rainfall is currently occurring nationwide.
The forecast for today indicates that the weather will remain partly to generally cloudy across the country. Light to moderate rain, accompanied by thunder and lightning, is expected in several areas of Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces. Additionally, heavy rainfall is likely in one or two places within Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces.
Tonight, the weather will continue to be partly to generally cloudy throughout the country. There is a likelihood of light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning in some locations across Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces.
Given the forecast of heavy rainfall in one or two places within Koshi, Madhes, Gandaki, and Sudurpaschim provinces, the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has issued an advisory urging residents in these areas to remain vigilant and take necessary precautions.
