Monsoon System Brings Cloudy Weather and Rain Across the Country
The Meteorological Forecasting Division reports that a low-pressure monsoon system is positioned south of its average location, influencing weather nationwide. A separate low-pressure system from the Bay of Bengal is also contributing to cloudy conditions in most regions.
Currently, Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, and Sudurpaschim provinces are experiencing light to moderate rain, with occasional thunder and lightning. The Division expects similar conditions to persist throughout the afternoon, with chances of heavy rainfall in Koshi, Bagmati, Lumbini, and Sudurpaschim provinces.
Residents in the Tarai and Madhes areas of Koshi province should also be prepared for possible windstorms. Tonight’s forecast remains cloudy, with continued light to moderate rain and isolated heavy downpours in some regions.
