Monsoon Winds Continue to Affect Weather Across Nepal
The effects of monsoon winds are persisting across Nepal, according to a weather forecast bulletin issued today by the Weather Forecasting Division. The monsoon’s low-pressure line is currently around the average location towards the west and slightly south of the average location in the east, impacting weather patterns nationwide.
Presently, the weather is partly to generally cloudy across the country, with light rain occurring in isolated areas of Koshi, Madhes, and Gandaki provinces.

Heavy rainfall is likely in isolated areas of Koshi, Madhes, Lumbini, and Sudurpaschim provinces.
The forecast for tonight indicates continued cloudy weather throughout the country. Similar patterns of light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning are likely in Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces, with heavy rainfall expected in isolated areas of Koshi, Madhes, and Gandaki provinces.
Over the next 24 hours, light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is anticipated in several places across Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces, with isolated incidents of heavy rainfall in Koshi, Madhes, Gandaki, Lumbini, and Sudurpaschim provinces.
The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has urged local authorities to take necessary precautions against potential disasters such as landslides, floods, and soil erosion in vulnerable areas.
