Mostly Clear Weather Expected Across Nepal; Light Rain in Some Areas

The weather across most parts of Nepal is expected to remain mostly clear today, with partly to generally cloudy conditions in the hilly regions of Koshi, Bagmati, and Madhes provinces, according to the Meteorological Forecasting Division.

Light rain accompanied by thunder and lightning has been reported in a few locations in Koshi and Madhes provinces. These weather conditions are attributed to the partial influence of a westerly low-pressure system combined with local winds.

By this afternoon, the weather is forecasted to remain partly to generally cloudy in Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, while the remaining provinces will enjoy clear skies. Light rain with thunder and lightning is likely in some areas of Koshi and Bagmati provinces and at one or two places in Madhes and Gandaki provinces. Additionally, there is a possibility of light snowfall in the higher hilly and mountainous areas of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces.

Tonight, skies will remain partly cloudy in Koshi Province while the rest of the country will experience clear weather. However, isolated incidents of light rain with thunder and lightning and light snowfall in the high hilly and mountainous areas of Koshi Province are expected.

Residents in the affected areas are advised to stay cautious during thunderstorms and be prepared for brief weather changes.
