Muglin-Kathmandu Road to Close for Three Hours Daily for Upgradation
The Muglin-Kathmandu Road will remain closed for three hours daily, from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM, starting today until December 28, to facilitate road upgradation work.
The Nagdhunga-Muglin Road Project announced the closure, urging drivers to follow lane discipline during this period. Essential service vehicles, including ambulances, police vehicles, and fire engines, will be exempt from the restrictions.
According to Bijay Darai, an engineer with the project’s Western Section, heavy vehicles traveling from Naubise to Gajuri will be stopped at Galchhi-Baireni, while light vehicles will be halted at Jarekhet. Similarly, vehicles heading from Chitwan to Naubise will be stopped at Chalise and Ghatbesi, while those traveling from Muglin to Malekhu will be held at Majhimtar and Charaundi bazaars.
The closures aim to expedite the improvement works at critical sections, including the Pokharebhir and Bishaltar modes, ensuring smoother and safer travel once completed. Drivers are advised to plan their journeys accordingly to avoid inconvenience.
