NA defused IED placed outside Gokul Baskota’s house

An improvised explosive device IED was found outside the house of CPN-UML politburo member and former Communications Minister, and present lawmaker Gokul Prasad Baskota on Sunday morning.

A neighbor informed the police after seeing a suspicious object near the wall of Baskota’s house. Then the team of police went to the area for investigation. Nepal Police cordoned off the area and informed the Nepal Army.

Panic gripped the area after the bomb-like object was found outside Baskota’s house in Lokanthali.

A bomb disposal squad of the Nepal Army defused an improvised explosive device (IED).

Earlier in March 2020, an Improvised explosive device (IED) had gone off at the under-construction house belonging to the former minister.

Baskota has recently won the election to the House of Representatives from Kavre-2.
