Name-list of voters for President, Vice-President election published

The Office of the Election Officer today published a list of voters including 881 voters—331 of the Federal Parliament and 550 of Province Assembly for the election to the post of President and Vice-President.

Assistant Election Officer of the Office of the Election Officer, Amrita Kumari Sharma, shared that the list of voters was published as per the election programme and voters name approved by the Election Commission.

As per the election time table, complaints can be filed against the published names till 12:00 noon on February 23 and the final list of voters would be published on February 28 after necessary investigation, in case of any complaints received.

Election to the post of President is scheduled to be held on March 9 and for the Vice-President on March 17. As per the existing law, weightage equivalence of a vote of federal lawmaker is 79 and 48 for a member of PA.

Nomination would be filed at the Office of the Election Officer from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm on February 25 for the election to the post of the President.

Similarly, a programme has been scheduled to file nominations from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm on March 11 for the election to the Vice-President.
