National Action Plan on Business and Human Rights Unveiled
Minister for Labour, Employment and Social Security, Sharat Singh Bhandari, has said that the National Action Plan on Business and Human Rights has been prepared with the goal of promoting business activities responsible for the respect and protection of human rights.
Launching the ‘National Action Plan on Business and Human Rights 2080/81-2084/85 BS’ amidst a programme organised by the Ministry here today, Minister Bhandari expressed the confidence that the Action Plan will contribute significantly in encouraging the businesspersons to promoting security and respect in society fulfilling their responsibility towards society and in bringing notable improvement in the living standards.
He stressed on the effective implementation of the action plan for responsible business and respect of human rights.
National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) Chair Tap Bahadur Magar said that the National Action Plan incorporates the 35-point suggestions given by the Commission for enriching it.
He called on all sides to put in efforts for the successful implementation of the action plan so as to protect the rights of the indigenous nationalities and the minorities as well as for environmental conservation.
