
National Assembly endorses condolence motion on demise of Rahman


The National Assembly (NA) meeting today has unanimously passed a condolence proposal on the demise of Janata Samajwadi Party lawmaker Shahnaz Rahman.
The condolence motion was proposed by the NA Chairperson Ganesh Prasad Timilsina. It also offered its condolences to the bereaved family.
The meeting observed a minute’s silence wishing her departed soul rest in peace.
Rahman, who got into the House of Representatives through the proportional representation system under the Muslim cluster, died of a heart attack on Saturday. She was 63.
The NA will next meet on February 27 at 12:31 pm.
